One way to monetize your blog is through programs like pay-per blogging. I have been doing paid posts for a while now, and recently signed up for Izea‘s latest entry into paid Blogging, SocialSpark. So far I like it.
Once you sign up other bloggers can give you “props”, and become your friends which in return will drive more traffic to your site. The more props the more traffic. You can search out blog you’d like and give them props as well. The more blogs you review, the greater your exposure, and the more props you receive.
Another thing that is pretty unique besides the paid posting is the opportunity for blog sponsorship. The higher your blog ranks, through the IZEA RealRankTM, and through Google PagerankTM, the more opportunities, and sponsorship offers you are eligible for.
Another bonus is that it doesn’t preclude you from continuing other paid blogging services. It was easy to join, and easy to decide what offers I might be interested in.
I particularly like that they make their code of ethics well know and straight forward. They pride themselves on being something anyone can do, but also something anyone can understand.
Their in post disclosure is 100% audit-able, and make the fact that it is a Social Spark post evident. It’s extremely search engine friendly, which means SEO is a cinch, without a lot of maximizing your Social Spark Post. Thos two factors provide a 100% transparency which is a really big deal in paid blogging. Why? That’s easy, because it ensures real opinions, and not just a lot of really boring salesmanship.
With Social Spark, IZEA has done it again. While still only in it’s Beta phase, Social Spark has the potential to revolutionize paid blogging. Even if you aren’t ready to foray into the paid blogging post, you can perform “Blog U Backs”, and just meet and grow your blogging network.
SocialSpark is an idea that is ready for the Web2.0 world. I’ve got the spark, do you?
