Welcome to another week of Spotlight Blogs!
Last week we reviewed debt blogs like Blogging Away Debt, The Frugal Dad, and Get Rich Slowly. In keeping with the theme, this week I will continue on my “Debt” vain, and three more blogs devoted to the “D” word. I read and reviewed all, and found each of them to have interesting information, and value to help anyone on a debt journey.
The Simple Dollar, a blog written by Trent Hamm, is the story of his 2006 financial meltdown, and road to recovery. It was recommended to my by one of my readers last weeks blog reviews. I am glad it was recommended. Trent goes through great detail in his road to recovery and how he did it. I am working through his well organized archive, and reading each post carefully. Trent’s honest approach is one of the inspirations behind my Special Series, “The Road to Today”. If you haven’t been to the Simple Dollar I highly recommend it.
The Debt Kid, written by, well The Debt Kid, is a blog of recovery as seen by someone who is honest about his past mistakes, and what they cost him. He goes into detail about his bankruptcy filing, his day trading disaster, and his uncertainty, but hope for the future. He talks most recently about his quest to raise money for a mattress. Entertaining, but serious.
And our last entry for today,
We need to be Debt Free, written by JW Thornhill. “JW” gives detail on the amounts he owes, and the toll it takes on his life, and well being. He takes the time to give insight into his thoughts, and is honest about the impact. He gathers items from around the web to show folks the effects of debt, and the thousands of ways to solve the debt problem. I check in to his blog to see his progress, and am looking forward to the day he is debt free as well.
Do you have a site that is interesting? Or one to recommend? Let me know!

You and I share a number of favorite blogs! The first PF blog I read with any regularity was Trent’s blog at The Simple Dollar. In fact, it was what motivated me to start blogging myself. Thanks again for including Frugal Dad in your spotlight.

Tricia has a great site. She balances motivation and fact pretty well. I can hope that as folks read this they can appreciate life, and that everyone knows that things can get rough, but tomorrow is always Another Day Of Life!
