Baby oh Baby where art thou?

Mar-12-2008 By Family Man

Though officially still on my break, I wanted to update everyone on a few things. We are still awaiting the arrival of the baby.  He if doesn’t arrive over the next 24 hours on his own he will be “helped” out on Friday morning.  My wife is very ready for her pregnancy to be over.  We are all excited to meet our newest arrival.  I will be home with them for at least 2 weeks so that will give me some time to invest in updating this blog, possibly with a new design, and take a serious look at the content I am posting.  I may try to “start fresh”.

We are ready to play ball.  Now that the little league season is upon us, I will be coaching so that will take up some of my time.  I am considering a member site, and need to flesh out some ideas, so hopefully I can do that over the next two weeks as well.  I have been trying to make sure I keep up with reading all my favorite blogs, and will hopefully be adding some new links shortly.

I will also be resurrecting the “spotlight” blog, yet in a bit of a different form.

More soon….

Hi Folks!

For Today I decided to go with this decade.  So here are my selections for this week.

Remember the 2002 blockbuster hit that made Matt Damon an action Star?

Or a show gone before it’s time, that shared insight into the world of our emergency workers?

And who could forget one of the best family comedy shows of this decade (RIP John)

And that’s way back wendesday for today March 12, 2008

Here is Way back Wednesday For March 5, 2008.

The Show that launched the Will Smith Phenomena

Does anyone remember the 1990’s reptilian Flintstones?

And of course who could forget the saga of Kevin and Winnie

That’s Way Back Wednesday for this week.

Hang on to your time machine.  See you next Wednesday!

(If you have a suggestion of where and what to visit, please leave us a comment)

My poor posting

Mar-4-2008 By Family Man

I will be taking about a 2 week break from posting.  Mainly because until the baby comes I don’t have a lot of time, or even the ability to form a complete thought.  In addition I am out of the house a lot with the upcoming little league season.  I can see my lack of posting, and therefore reading has had an impact on my readership.  I hope you will not forget to visit back.  I do know that “Way Back Wednesday” will continue, and some cool stuff is planned for this site as soon as I am a bit more free with my time.

My wife found today she is fully effaced, and has dilated 1cm since her last appointment on Friday.  Her OB was saying that on Friday she was 0% effaced, and not dilated at all so this changed over a three day period means it could be any time.  She will have the baby not later than the 14th, or they will induce.  I will post the news as soon as it comes.  I will check back soon.

Contractions, Sprains, and Spending

Mar-2-2008 By Family Man

I know I have been really bad at blogging.  I was hoping Aslan would pick up some slack during my absence, but he has a lot going on as well.  We are in countdown now.  Contractions are about 10 minutes apart, but not yet strong enough.  We do know it could very well be any day, (or hour).   What also tips me off that it’s coming it that I sprained my ankle yesterday, or all things doing laundry.  I tripped carrying it down the stairs.  And on top of that we had some “unexprected” spending come up which strained out wallets a bit.  PLEASE, do not gove up on me yet….Some big changes and more frequent posts are coming…..any day now.
