I was treated to the two minute preview of the updated Knight Rider coming out in February. For those of you that may not remember the story of Michael Knight, here is the original 1982 show opening.
I remember the show. I was still young when it started, and remember sitting down with my father to watch it. What interesting hair, David Hasselhoff had.
And now in the spirit of what is old is now new, NBC has announced that Knight Rider returns on February 17, 2008. Now as with many things that seem to be re-imaging of what’s old, this is billed as a sequel. No longer to we have the talking Trans Am, made famous by the voice of William Daniels. A large reason is that the Trans Am has been out of production for many years. So KITT (aka Knight Industries Two Thousand) has been replaced by, well KITT (aka Knight Industries Three Thousand). And the new KITT, along with a snappy new voice (Will Arnett) is now A Ford Shelby Mustang. So for your Knight Rider Fans, meet the new KITT.
