2008 and a New Year

  I have gotten all of the web links updated, and everyone that I owed a back link to is now re-linked.  This has been kind of a rough upgrade, as I am fairly particular about how the site looks, and I was having some troubles deciding what format looks best.  But after all this is Build Tomorrow. I have been reading many blogs that have talked about their resolutions for 2008, and what they hope to accomplish, and I don’t want to break that tradition.  I think one of the things I have to point out however, is that I am not a big one for resolutions.  I generally see that people make these resolutions, and then feel bad that they didn’t keep them.  So that is where I try not to be.

Instead I think you should have a resolution that you know you are going to keep.  Generally it may be less tangible.  So “I will loose 20 pounds”, is better fit as “I will eat healthier, and get more exercise”.  This way you haven’t set yourself up for disappointment.

One of the things I have to say about the blogs I read, are that I enjoy their content.  Many of the bloggers out there are just looking for the “quick” dollar, but it’s those that are slow and steady who have primary goals, not about money, but about being true to themselves, that will ultimately succeed.

So in 2008 I need to step back and think that way.  Now I don’t want the expensive cars, or huge home, I just want to pay off my debt.  And finally have some peace of mind.  And raise my children to be happy and healthy contributors to the world.  I don’s see that at too much.

Now for the site.  I still have some work to do to finish it up.  I hope with the new year, I can return to more insightful, and thought provoking posts and that you will not only come back, but you will send more folks here.  Because together we can all Build Tomorrow, Another Day Of Life.  And we can make it better that the one before.
