Building a Dream, One Day at a Time

The Good, Bad, and Messy

Oct-12-2007 By Family Man

Happy Friday! The heat seems to be finally settling down here, and this morning it was downright cold. I have been busy, trying to start over when it comes to my on-line marketing strategy, and my debt reduction. I decided that my debt had grown into a life of it’s own so it got it’s own blog, Destroy My Debt. I was inspired by BloggingAwayDebt, and MyDebtFreeGoal. I realized that if I forced myself to focus energies on it, that it would help me keep moving towards a debt free existence. But I also wanted it forefront, so it got it’s own blog.

I haven’t been as active latley, and I don’t know that some of my posts have been all that provoctive, or even thought provoking. That will hopefully change as I get some other things settled. I have realized that this blog has become very cluttered, and not very reader friendly. I am in the process of fixing that. I also have been working on lots of things at home.

I recently ran accross many of my mothers old journals and diaries. While many are in english, there a several in Latvian, that require some translation, which is a slow process. Luckily I have some cousins who are fluent that have offered to help.

In addition, being the father of two boys, and the husband to a pregnant wife, seems to continue to shrink my available time. And we are at our busy period here at work.

I will be getting back to the spotlight blog of the week next week. I will also be doing some house cleaning, and work on this blog to make it much more reader friendly.

Y’all Come Back Now!

Hope you don’t mind my 2 cents, but I can’t help but wonder how I would feel if my son asked my cousins to translate my innermost thoughts. I think I am off to the incinerator….. :)

Good luck with the new blog!

Normally I would agree. The peroson that is helping me is sort of a cousin by knowledge. She and my mother we best friends from the time she came to the US, until the day she died. She knows what I am translating, but won’t ever acutally see them. She is goign to help me with some of the organization I can’t get right with the book and on-line resources I have.
