Build Tomorrow - Another Day Of Life

Building a Dream, One Day at a Time

Living the life of a 30 something

Aug-27-2007 By Family Man

So I am officially “old”. Not in the sense that I am old, but that I look at things my kids have, and wonder why they didn’t have cool stuff like that when I was little. Or why I didn’t have more stuff, or at least remember having more stuff. I don’t think I ever had as much stuff as my kids do.

Today it seems much more instant gratification, as opposed to the toys I had growing up. Now you have elaborate video games, (OK I am a game Junky), and toys that pretty much do everything. I look at the bedroom of my 8 year old, and it’s almost as though there is a toy population, that may or may not come to life when no one is there.

How come I never had that cool stuff?

So I sat down to write a blog post about it, and realized something that is bothering me. My life may be fairly boring fodder. I mean I read all these other blogs with debauchery, and excitement, and my major source of excitement today will be watching little league tryouts. Of course the other drama in my life can be thrilling and humorous reading, but is it enough to keep readers coming back? So I hope you keep reading, becasue there will be more excitment, I promise!

So forgive my lean week or so as I have had some writers block, but school starts next week.
